JOINING

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER?

First of all, you need to read through our rules and be fairly familiar with them, as you will be held accountable for knowing them. Then, be sure that you take some time to really consider how active you will be able to be in the community. While we understand life comes first and things can get busy, the players are extremely important to the site and we need active members to thrive.

CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT

• Register with the character you will be playing as your account username. This account will be used for posting both IC and OOC; there are currently no OOC accounts needed at Southern Point. Later on, if you wish to play additional characters, then you can make more accounts, one per each character. Make sure your username has no symbols or other odd characters and it should be written as "Dmitri", nothing like "dmitri" or "DMITRI".
• Next, it's time to spice up your profile a bit. There are two images featured in your profile; a large 200x300 image and a smaller 100x100 image. The larger one can be changed via the "Personal" section when editing your profile. There should be multiple fields that need to be filled out, including one for the image. Here, past a direct link to the picture you're going to use. The smaller avatar can be changed via the edit avatar page. 

CREATING A BIOGRAPHY

• Once you've got a pretty good idea of how things work around here and made your profile look pretty, go ahead and begin to work on your character's biography, posting a new thread in this board. A template that will guide you though what to include in your biography is also provided. If you're not able to finish in one go, that's okay! There's a lot to be filled out. Simply post it, labeling it as a WIP (work in progress) and come back to it once you're ready to complete it. Once everything is done, remove the WIP label in the thread name and wait for a staff member to look over it. They usually are looked over within 1-3 days, but if you find it's taking longer, PM a staff member. We will determine whether or not your biography is good to go or not and post a reply saying so. If there is something missing, we will tell you what it is and expect you to edit it. Once that is done, post a reply notifying us of this. When your biography is accepted, it will be moved into the Approved Profile board.
• Once you've gotten your biography done and out of the way, post in the Roster thread so you're added to the member list.

BEGINNING ROLEPLAY

• Now you're ready to roleplay! Find the roleplay section of the site and choose a topic in the Outskirts Board. Here, your character is to wait by the border of the pack's territory for a character of the Hliadka rank to come address them. Your canid is to tell them that you wish to join or are interested in joining. They will then escort your character into the territory to be accepted by a Vedúci. At this stage, you move your characters to the Pack Territory Board. Here, the Hliadka will choose a thread to begin posting in and introduce your canid to a Vedúci. Once the Vedúci decides to accept your character, they will automatically be labelled as a Vagabond and will have to prove themselves to the pack in order to earn an official rank.
• Now that the hard part's over, you can post in the other areas of the forum and familiarize yourself with the other users and whatnot. If you want to, you can create a thread in this board for plotting purposes. Here, you can create a thread with a brief description of your character and what you would like them to develop in roleplay. If a member is interested in bringing yours and their canids together, they will post saying so. Don't get upset if no one replies, it might take time to get a really cool plot!
